Our charity supports adults who have been affected by brain injury, either as a result of an accident or illness such as a stroke, brain tumour or haemorrhage. We have a centre in Tunbridge Wells with a program of activities centred on long-term rehabilitation. We offer support in the community through our bespoke 1-2-1 Wellbeing Support and Drop-in Support Groups as well as Specialist Support for anyone affected by brain injury.
Acquired brain injury (ABI) is the largest cause of acquired disability in the working age population. It is estimated that 8,000 people across West Kent have an acquired brain injury. The charity provides the only service of its kind in West Kent, we are independent and self funding.
